Welcome To Tu Sisters in the Garden Blog

Did you know that the Kitchen Hearth was the center of healing for common illnesses in the past?

In the Middle Ages, healing from the hearth began to fade, shifting towards a long line of dangerous inventions. Once people became fascinated with these quick fix inventions {man-made (synthetics)}–their respect for natural remedies from their kitchen hearth decreased.

Around 1900 aspirin made its debut and it was patented for use and after soon followed antibiotics and others that were becoming easily available to consumers. “Healthy living through science” became the norm. Shortly following came boxed and manufactured foods such as: margarine and corn syrup.  Nutritious healthy food got left behind the wake of this “fast, easy & convenient” way of eating!

Little did folks realize this switch would lead to — losing power over their own health.  Giving up things like comforting and healing chicken soup and kitchen poultices, like onion, herb or garlic poultices allowed for the harmful effects of immune-suppressing medications to enter full force into our lives.

When did we get brainwashed into believing “health comes in a pill”?  When all along we knew or those who came before knew —

Food taken from the earth is our most powerful preventative medicine…. and we just let it go by the wayside….

Through this website and this blog, we, Cyndi and Ellen — Tu Sisters in the Garden– want to inspire you, along with us, to take our power back.

Let’s reclaim- TOGETHER – medicine from the Earth and Hearth!

Our site will inspire and teach using the Kitchen and the Garden for health & wellness care!

God Bless and Stay Healthy!

Cyndi…

And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Gen. 1:12

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2
